It feels like summer again!

This afternoon Chloe was such a great helper in the kitchen. We made egg salad for supper and Chloe loved to peel the hard boiled eggs, she did a great job. Then she thought they tasted pretty good too, a perfect chef eating along the way:)

We have had such a busy and fun week already. Monday we enjoyed story time and playing at the park. Tuesday we made it all the way through the movie How to Train Your Dragon at the movie theatre followed by playing at the play area. And today we went to the wading pool, splash park, playground and had a blast:)

Weekend Good Times!

This week was so fun for everyone. It started off with Brigett coming down for our monthly Aunt and niece date night therefore in return Jason and my date night:) Chloe just loves seeing her aunts and uncles and really looks forward to their time together. She is always ready to ditch me at the door when they arrive:) Friday night Brigett, Rich, Andrea and Chloe went out to supper, did some bike riding and playing at the park. Jason and I got to go on a double date with our fun friends, dinner and drinks then out to the movies.

On Sunday Rich and Andrea invited us over for some swimming and a fire pit party. Chloe had a blast swimming with Rambo and Zella, pouring out water on everything in the yard, running around the yard with Rich, and Andrea even let/helped Chloe paint her own nails! The food was delicious, my fave was the angel food cake, ice cream, raspberries and strawberries, yum! Even though the fire pit part of the party was rained out we had such a fun time!

Today we went with our friends to the Dairy Farm. We saw calves, cows, dogs and cats. We even got to sample fresh,whole, chocolate milk and fresh, vanilla ice cream, it was soooo good! We had a fun day with our friends and even brought home some goods from their little store:)

Braungers Visit!

Yesterday our great friends, the Braungers, came back to IA to beat the AZ heat for a little vacay. While they were back we were so happy to have them over to our house. We all went to lunch, took the kids to the playground, played outside, enjoyed some drinks, grilled out and the adults chatted while the kids played all night long. Chloe had so much fun playing with the twins, Ethan and Ava, who are 4 1/2. It was so fun to catch up with Jeff and Andrea again! We miss them and wish they still lived here in IA but are thankful for their visits:)

Happy Father's Day!!!

We started out Father's Day with cards and Chloe's very special gift. She made her daddy a stepping stone to put outside in our yard. It has her hand print, name, stars and moon decor. Next I made a yummy breakfast of mushroom, green peppers, pepper jack cheese scramble with waffles and toast. Then we got ready for our day at the beach. We headed out to Big Creek with the Petersens for the afternoon/early evening. We had so much fun swimming, playing in the sand, grilling out, and playing on the huge playground! Happy father's day to my hubby, my dad and my father in law!

Start of the weekend.

What a great weekend already! Last night we went with our friends out to supper followed by the play ground. While the kids were playing the daddies were entertaining us by "playing" as well! Lets just say that Jason got a huge slide burn down his arm and Tim had a bloody toe.

Today Chloe and I already went to the bank, did a little garage sale shopping, went on a bike ride to the park and then played there for a while. And we just finished up in the kitchen. Here is Chloe helping me wash the veggies for tomorrows Father's Day supper and fun at the beach! She is such a wonderful helper and so much fun to be with:)

The freedom of wheels!

The big event of the evening was buying a bike followed by a bike ride all around the trails in the park for over a half hour. If it were up to her we would have kept riding but it was getting late. And with a promise to go again tomorrow we headed back home. I will post a video soon. She is so great already, fast, uses the handles, turns, brakes, a total free spirit on the sidewalks:)

We are starting to get a great summer routine going including story time, kids movie theatre, filled in with play dates (today we hosted), trips to the parks and pools ending with school on Fridays. This is Chloe's ensemble for the day, such a hipster at 2 1/2 :)

Friday Fun!

Today Chloe woke up with a 103 degree temp. She was tired but otherwise in good spirits. Here she is by her art work from school. And an ice cream cone she tried to eat but couldn't finish, darn fever.

Last night was Hannah's 3rd birthday party. They held it at the Ramada water park. Chloe had so much fun swimming, going down the slide with daddy and playing with her friends. It was so funny when the kids would stand on their chairs, arms in the air, shouting party!

After Chloe's first day at school, she came home to a surprise! I found a barbie car at a garage sale for $1 on the way home from dropping her off! I love a good find. Chloe was so excited, she played with it for probably 2 hours, no joke. She was also having her barbies reenact her day at school, it was super cute:)

Chloe's 1st day of preschool!

Today is Chloe's first day of preschool and we both couldn't be more excited! While in the parking lot Chloe saw her friend Josephine and was so pumped to walk to class with her. Once she entered her classroom she immediately saw her teacher Miss Kelly and ran up to give her a hug. Next she put her folder away, then her back pack and found the My Little Pony's to play with. I said my good byes, held back my emotions and walked out looking back over my shoulder at my beautiful, smart little girl. The other teacher Miss Tracy was introducing Chloe to another girl in class. And that was that. What a special day for all of us:)
