Then this afternoon we went to the water park for a few hours and enjoyed the kiddie pool and several laps around the lazy river:)

This morning Chloe and daddy had fun playing with water balloons!

After the party we went to visit Tyler and Rebecca. Chloe loved running around and playing with the dogs. But as you can see they tire out a lot easier and faster than Chloe does;)

Chloe got a Dora ice cream popsicle and I got a classic ice cream cookie sandwich, yum!

What a fun filled weekend! Saturday we went to the mom's group Family Summer Party. It was such a blast! There was supper pot luck style, a magician/balloon artist, prizes (we won 5 free games of bowling!) and at the end an ice cream truck arrived and everyone got free ice cream!!!

Boating with Our Friends!

Friday afternoon we went out boating with our friends, the Petersen's. We all had such a fun time and the weather was perfect too. The girls had a blast tubing, swimming, jumping off the back of the boat, singing and dancing on the boat, drinking and snacking and clearly they didn't want it to end. Afterwards we all had worked up an appetite and tried out a new Mexican restaurant, we don't know if it was really good or if we were all just really hungry;) We are so lucky to have such fun and sharing friends! Thanks so much for an awesome day/night:)

Chloe and I joined Brigett and Gramma at the Storm Lake Tornadoes state baseball game today in Des Moines at Principal Park where the I-Cubs play. We were to happy to be able to cheer on the boys and be able to spend the afternoon with them again. Chloe had a blast seeing Brig and gramma of course but she was also looking forward to seeing her baseball buddy, Grace, again and Tyler's girlfriends, Kallie, Erin and Megan. It was a scorcher and the boys played a great game!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Oh my goodness, where have I been, I know you all have been waiting for a new blog, I am so sorry!

Ok let's catch up. This past week my mom came to visit, it was so great having her here for the week! We had a great summer week going out to lunch and to the pool with friends, going out for ice cream multiple time :), hosting a play date and Chloe finished off the week with school and going to the pool with me! What a wonderful week. But then it gets even better. My sister came down for her monthly date with Chloe and that means that Jason and I got a date night too! Brigett, gramma and Chloe went to the mall and did all of Chloe's favorite things; renting a car stroller, playing on the playground, eating pretzels and smoothies and going to Chloe's fave store, Claire's and they even got to watch a fire works display before coming back home! Jason and I went out to supper and then to the movies. We saw Horrible Bosses and it had us laughing the whole time. Brigett and gramma, thanks so much for all you do for us! It really means a lot!

Girls Weekend Roadtrip!

Monday night we went to cousin Tyler's baseball game. It was a nail biter, going into over time and winning in the 10th inning! What a fun game to be there for. And Chloe had fun playing with her baseball buddies, Grace and the older girls:)

Tuesday with 100 degree temperatures we went to King's Point to cool off. After 3 hours of fun in the sun we left to get ice cream again:) We packed up once again and came back home, only this time gramma came with us! A quick stop at home then we were off again for some dinner followed by going to Uncle Rich's house. Chloe loved seeing him again, playing with Rambo and Zella and eating popcorn with juice:) We were all exhausted by the time we got home. What a wonderful long weekend with family!!!

Chloe loved the resident dog, Annie. They ran the halls, ran in circle and had a great time together.

Monday night we stayed at Aunt Sherry and Uncle Merlin's house. We had a great time hanging out and spending time with Krista and Jordan, mom and dad to be:) Then Monday morning we went back to visit gramma C. We took a walks around the nursing home, part of the fun was stopping to watch the birds.

Saturday afternoon Chloe and I packed up and headed out for Brigett's house. We had fun playing outside, eating good food and going out for ice cream. Then that evening Gramma Kneifl showed up to join in the fun. She bought Chloe some nail art! Chloe loved to bling out her nails!

Sunday morning we all packed up again and hit the road to Minnesota to join our cousin Krista for her baby shower. We had so much fun playing the shower games, winning prizes, eating yummy desserts, talking and laughing with our family. Chloe had a blast with her cousins Maggie, Maddie and Macy.

Week in review...

We've enjoyed many, many popsicles this week! Chloe even got a new bench to enjoy them on.

At the mall Chloe picked out a mask. The great thing about this is that she thinks she is scary when she wears it and says "raaaahhh" :) and I love that she wore it to our trip to Wal Mart as well, she always keeps me laughing!

We had a busy and fun week. So busy I didn't get the chance to do any blogs or take many pictures. But here's what fun stuff we had going on. We went to the last story time of the summer on Monday, did a babysitting trade with our friends on Tuesday and Thursday (that was awesome), Uncle Rich made his weekly visit Thursday evening and Chloe requested a bike ride to the park, on Wednesday we went to the park and out to lunch with our friends then Chloe and I hit the mall for some shopping and playing, and today Chloe had a fun day at school followed by going to the pool with our friends! Shwooh, I'm exhausted!

Sunday evening we went to our friends, the Petersen's, home for supper. The girls had a blast swimming in the pool, playing with the water table, eating popsicles and we even busted them coloring on the walls!!!!!!

Saturday evening we went to supper at Tyler and Rebecca's new house. Of course Chloe was excited to see them and also to play with the Kiko and Caz. I was so excited to check out their new digs. I love it, I look forward to more evenings spent on their patio and walks around their peaceful neighborhood. We ended the evening with some yummy dessert and sparklers:)

Ankeny's Summerfest!

Friday evening us and our friends, the Petersen's, went to have some fun at Ankeny's annual Summerfest. We started out the evening going out for supper then headed over to the carnival. Chloe hasn't been big enough to go on any rides in the past except for the carousel. Let's just say that now that she is tall enough there is no turning back, she loved the rides! After we ran out of money ;) we went over to our friends house and let the girls play a little longer before calling it a great night!
