Baby #2 Dr's Appointment Schenanigans!

I went to my 1st Dr's appointment for baby #2 this afternoon and probably needless to say it was very eventful:) First of all right when I get there I realize that I don't have my insurance card because I gave it to Jason on Friday so he could go to Urgent Care and to get a piece of metal picked out of his eye and we forgot about the card and there it remains. After talking through it with the receptionist, I called him at work to get the numbers off of the card but of course he can't hear me. So here I am yelling at him on the phone in the waiting room all the while Chloe has found the toy box and is now hammering everything in sight including the windows, chairs and floor. By the time we actually get into see the Dr., Chloe has chugged her entire juice and has to go potty not just once but twice.

More importantly during the appointment we found out the due date and it is September 28th! Just in time to be sandwiched by Rich and Gramma C. :) The Dr. couldn't find the heart beat today, something about me having a tilted uterus, sorry if that's tmi, and said that we will need to come back in a week to check again. On our way out I had to schedule my next appointment and of course I forgot my planner and am stammering over what days and times will work. At the same time Chloe has found her favorite tool again and is hammering repairs all over the office. Did I mention that this was all during what should have been Chloe's nap time?! So I had that on my side too;) Yup, pretty awesome appointment! I hope to be a little more prepared in a week but I'm not making any promises. I guess this is just the beginning of how things will be "different" this time around!

The rest of the week.

This is just one of the many projects we have in store for the next several months and it's such a relief to get started and accomplish one of the many to do's on my list:)

We picked up the perfect computer armoire at the moving sale! It's just the right size and fits perfectly against the wall downstairs.

Friday evening Gramma S. came over to stay. Chloe was so excited to see her when she woke up from her nap! Gramma watched Chloe and Jason and I went out to dinner, it's always a treat to go out on a date:) Thanks! Saturday morning we all went to Target to celebrate Dr Seuss's birthday but Chloe was more interested in looking at the toys, so it was a short activity. We gave hugs goodbye to gramma and then headed to a moving sale as you'll read above.

Thursday we had a good time at Kindermusic as usual. And Thursday evening we all had some fun. Carol and I headed to Ames to the hair and style show at Andrea's salon. She saved us the best seats in the house, we got great swag bags and had such a fun time seeing trendy hair, make up and clothes, just a enough to jump start your inner fashionista. Uncle Rich came over to help Jason babysit Chloe:) By the time I got home it had looked like they all had a great time together!

Friday we went to probably Chloe's favorite play date ever! There were girls her age and a little older along with tons of dress up clothes, barbies, and dolls. Chloe was playing with the girls upstairs and I got to relax and chat with the other moms, it was so fun for both of us:) The hostess even gave me a baby crib, so that was a nice bonus. Wither we end up using it or not is yet to be determined;)

Chloe picked out a new hat at Target the other day. It has become such a cute accessory to all of her favorite games, tea parties, dress up, using it as a bed for her dolls and animals and of course proper attire for eating a push-up:)

Can it get any better than this? Not according to Chloe!

Saturday morning the cousins are getting in some snuggle time. Then off to the mall for some shopping, smoothies, pretzels, and playground time. Thanks so much for helping make our weekend such a blast!

After C.C. they went to Rich and Andrea's house. Chloe got to be reunited with her old roommates, Rambo and Zella. And from the looks on their faces, I think everyone missed each other:)

Friday afternoon Aunt Brigett and Cousin Tyler came over for their wonderful monthly visit:) Uncle Rich came over soon after they arrived and Chloe knew the fun was about to begin. Chloe has been looking forward to this day for probably a week;), they planned on taking her to Chuck E. Cheese's and she couldn't be any more excited about it. Chloe even hung C.C. coupons on the fridge in anticipation for night out:) Brig took pictures for me. As much as I wanted to be there at her first C.C. experience, a date night sounded heavenly:) Jason and I went out for supper and rented a movie, it was low key but just what we wanted/needed.

Good Times

After our big afternoon outside, we got to enjoy Uncle Rich's company last night too. Chloe always looks forward to having him come over. What a great week!

She's big enough to enjoy the playground all by herself now! That is with out me worrying too much;)

Thursday we were able to take an early nap so we could meet up with our friends at the park later in the afternoon. It was soooo nice out, it was unreal that it was the middle of February in IA! Chloe loved playing outside again, we spent two hours there and Chloe could have stayed longer if I would have let her.

Wednesday morning Gramma K came over for a visit. We all went to story time at the library together. Then we enjoyed a great lunch out at Noodle Zoo, watched Shrek Ever After, went out to Dairy Queen and had a fun evening at home. Thursday we all went to music class. It was so fun for Chloe to have gramma participate in the class with her especially since this was a gift from her. It was so nice out we got to walk there and back. Then we had a nice lunch out followed by a little more snuggle time and then we had to say good bye. Chloe made sure to tell her to come back:) It's such a treat to have gramma here during the week to play with!

Tuesday we had a fun play date at Kristie and Levi's home. Chloe played with more trains and cars and boys than she probably ever has before and she had fun just the same:)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Chloe painted daddy a heart picture frame :) And Chloe got the last two Tinkerbell dolls, Vidia and Silvermist, that she wanted to complete her collection, I think there are six total.

Long gone are the days of being in elementary school and over analyzing the generic Valentine card that I got from the boy I secretly had a crush on. And good bye (for now) to the expensive jewelry and fancy suppers out with my sweet heart husband. And hello to the most wonderful home made gifts made by my daughter with the help of my husband and a delicious home cooked meal made by me of course. Happy Valentine's Day!

Chloe and Jason went to Home Depot for a kids work shop a couple weekends ago. Chloe got her very own orange apron, heart shelf pin to put on the apron and certificate of achievement. And in the end they created the heart shelf pictured above!

A fun weekend!

It's so warm out today and perfect for the snow to stick together.

Today Chloe and daddy built a snowman! Chloe was so excited to make a real snowman! She named him Snowman:)

Thank you so much for the magnetic ballerina dress up doll. Chloe's favorite outfit is the 4th of July dress:)

Saturday Chloe came home to a Valentine's Day present from Gramma and Grandpa S. She just loves musical cards!

After swimming we all went out for lunch at La Azteca. Chloe found the Mexican Princess and really liked her. And that concludes our party weekend, thanks for all the fun and we hope you had a great birthday Brigett!

Saturday after Brig's home cooked breakfast, us girls all headed out to the water park again. Chloe is just a little too short for the big slides yet. But she had a blast anyways.

Friday afternoon Chloe and I packed up and headed out to go to Storm Lake to help celebrate Aunt Brigett's birthday! We went to surprise Gramma Smith at work, it worked:) Then we had to go out for smoothies, a tradition, and they were good like usual. After that we met up with Gramma and Grandpa K back at Brigett's to kick off the festivities. We all enjoyed some birthday cake before we went out to supper. When Tyler got home from basketball we went out to King's Pointe to eat. Afterwards Chloe and gramma hit the water park and Brig and I went to meet up with her friend for a drink and then to the late movie, Just Go With It. It was such a fun night out and a funny movie. I was impressed that I was able to stay up that late and party;)

Today Chloe got a Valentine's from a friend in the mail today. She was so excited, holding it up in the air, looking at it, kissing it and saying thank you friend.

Chloe has been into stacking anything and everything and climbing to the top.

Monday we went to gymnastics like usual and had a blast like usual:) Tuesday Chloe had so much fun at open gym. She saw her friend John from gymnastics there, her friend Charlie from music and her friends Ethan, Blake and Reid from the mom's group there too. Chloe made a new friend, Jackson, who like to play chase with Chloe. That meant that Chloe chased him while they both screamed and laughed! It was so great to get some energy out. Wednesday we went to story time at the library and Chloe saw John there again, three days in a row and I think he is her new favorite:) Today we had a good time at music class. Chloe is signing her songs at home now too.

Our Weekend

We went to Bass Pro Shop aka: The Fish Store. We all had a good time watching the fish and looking at all the other animals. Gramma and Grandpa treated Chloe to a Barbie tackle box and a tiger, thank you:) Saturday evening we all met up with Tyler and Rebecca for supper and then again for breakfast Sunday morning. It was another fun weekend spent with family!

Saturday afternoon Gramma and Grandpa Smith came over for a visit! They brought with them some gifts from Cousins Emmy and Ellie:) Chloe is modeling her new Princess Tianna dress and fancy shoes. Thank you so much, that was so sweet!

Friday night we sorta managed to watch a DVD. It worked because Chloe kept herself busy with the Valentine's stickers Aunt Brig and Cousin Tyler sent her. She used her bare body as the the canvas and strategically stuck, peeled and re-stuck all the stickers to her legs, arms, and belly.

End of the week stuff.

Chloe kept singing Happy Birthday to Daddy while we were making it, I guess because this is the cake we made for him a couple weeks ago for his birthday, it was cute:)

We made our favorite, made from scratch carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, recipe from Gramma K. This one turned out 100% tastier than the last one we made, it's soooo yummy!

We had a great end of the week. First we found out that Chloe got into preschool for fall 2011! She will be going to Triad where she has gymnastics currently so it should be an easy transition given she is so comfortable going there already. It will be 2.5 hours, 3 times a week, a great beginning for both of us:) Chloe is already really excited. After touring the classroom and talking with a teacher, she asked to go to school for days afterwards. We are looking forward to this next step although I get a little teary just thinking about it.

Thursday we went to music class where Chloe continues to have a blast. She has so much fun, we both look forward to this part of the week. Chloe sings the songs at home and enjoys listening to her music cd she got from class as well.

Thursday evening Uncle Rich came over to play. They always have fun together and this time was no exception. They were making shadows on the wall, Chloe was making a princess Chloe shadow and would hi-five her, hug her, and kiss her:) Then there was some fort fun where Rich would bump his head on the roof and that alone would make Chloe laugh a deep belly laugh and ask for more:)

Good times so far this week.

And finally trying out scissors for the first time. it's a little tricky but she did a great job and chopped up all the edges on the paper!

Then given the fun we had at art night, we got a few more art supplies yesterday and had an art afternoon today. We are wearing our robes for extra warmth and coziness:)

Today we are staying home because there is a ton of snow or at least some crazy drifts on our driveway and it's only 16! Chloe thought it would be fun to play some bowling:)

Monday was a fun filled day! First we had gymnastics, a great time like usual. Then we went to Burger King for our friend, Kaylee's, birthday. We have never been to BK before, they have a huge play scape and Chloe had a blast:) Then that evening we went to art night with the mom's group. Chloe was really into making art work. With a little assistance she did great. She made a butterfly, a paper plate masterpiece, and a tambourine decorated with stickers. What a fun and exhausting day for both of us:)
