It's fun around here!

Sunday, Jason put up the lights on the house and Chloe fell in love with them! We had to take a walk around our neighborhood so she could see all the holiday decorations:)
Getting a good look:)

Chloe loves our Christmas tree and makes sure to check on her special ornaments several times a day.
Thankfully it comes off easy with a wipe:)

This weekend Chloe discovered that the washable crayons also work as make-up!

Saturday afternoon we said good bye to the last of our family members that were here visiting for the holiday. As they were leaving Chloe was busy doing the lion's hair:)
Some other things going on with Chloe this week are:
-Chloe is cutting 2 of her two year molars!
-Chloe had a blast at gymnastics class on Monday, she was a little wild but what do you expect in such a setting??!
-Chloe was eating some cinnamon roll the other day and when she was finished she asked for more cake with syrup on it:)
-Chloe's new favorite saying is "shake your booty" and then gives a little wiggle:)
-Chloe repeated her first swear word last night, we were playing and a reality show was on tv and the person said "dam it" and Chloe looked up and said it about 10 times in a row with a blank look on her face, after the first few times I asked her not to say it but of course that only made her say it more, then I couldn't help myself and burst into laughter and then ignored her rant and she stopped and hasn't repeated it since, fingers crossed!

Thankful for Thanksgiving:)

Thanksgiving Day was so wonderful and busy that I didn't really take any pictures to post on the blog. But here we are (minus Rebecca as she was "under the weather";) the day after and all smiles! Thank you all so much for your help in making this year so special, wither it be from cooking to cleaning, to driving here to celebrate with us, we couldn't have done it with out you and we are so glad to have spent it with you! Our house officially feels like a home after hosting a 16 family member holiday:) We made some great memories; smells spicy, summer beer, stories, laughs, good food and a loving family:) We love you all so much!

I think I missed a spot....

Wednesday Chloe helped me bake the "butter-butter bars";) and enjoyed how helping paid off in the end!

Family Fun Weekend

A dance at the end with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell flying above everyone on the ice! What a fun Saturday night, thanks for an awesome weekend!
This was a scene from Peter Pan, the sets were amazing!

Gramma and Chloe enjoying some popcorn and entertainment.

At intermission Chloe got another Ariel doll and insisted on carrying the bag:)
I tried to take our picture but Chloe wouldn't take her eyes off the show, she loved it!
Chloe's fave part, The Little Mermaid! At one point Chloe just couldn't take it and stood up and danced and spun in circles, she had so much fun!
Chloe and her wand at the start of the show.
Saturday night Gramma treated us to Disney on Ice. And Brigett brought Chloe a Snow White outfit to wear for the big night out. Thank you both so much! We all had a blast! Gramma got Chloe an Ariel wand souvenir.
A traditional red head picture, Tyler, me, Josh, Annie and Chloe.
A great big hug!

On Saturday we went to visit Great Gramma K, she was tired so we dropped off our pictures and said good bye. Then we had a big family lunch with Brigett, Tyler, Aunt Barb, Uncle Jerry, cousin Lori and her kids Annie and Josh. Chloe just loved playing with Annie all afternoon long:)

Gramma and Chloe enjoying snack time, shredded cheese and a fruit smoothie, her faves.

Grandpa taught Chloe to run in circle around the dining table, she liked that:)

She would check on gramma and grandpa to be sure they were doing ok in the kitchen cooking for the big meal on Saturday.

On Friday Chloe and I headed 3 1/2 hours to visit Gramma and Grandpa K at their house. Chloe was so excited to see them! After the car ride Chloe didn't waste any time sitting around and headed straight for the toys and pulled the wagon all over the house.

Week of Fun!

We went to story time today and had a good time like usual. Tomorrow we are going on a play date. Then Friday Chloe and I are heading out to see Gramma and Grandpa K. Gramma is taking us to Disney on Ice, we are so excited. And Saturday Grandpa is cooking a big lunch and having some Aunts, Uncles and cousins over. We are so pumped to see everyone!
Yesterday we also put up the Christmas tree. Chloe got some new princess decorations from Aunt Brig and Chloe was asking for the Christmas since last weekend. So it's up in time for Thanksgiving! Here is Chloe's tree, she likes to sit and look at it and call out the colors of the light. She wanted her picture taken by it today and this is how she posed, too funny!

Chloe loves arts and crafts time. She wears a dress up outfit at all times now:) Tuesday we went to a Kindermusik class for the first time. Chloe absolutely loved it! We hope to join that program and continue exploring music.
Our weeks together are always fun but this week has had some extra great activities included. On Monday we went to gymnastics class, Chloe really enjoys her time there. Her favorite right now is the long, trampoline where she jumps/runs down as fast as she can with a smile on her face the entire time:)

Weekend Update

This evening we all went to family dinner at Okoboji Grill with some friends in our group. Chloe had fun playing with her friends Marissa and Kelsey and even made a few new friends. Chloe wore her new outfit that Brig got her yesterday. It's hard to tell but the tights have purple, pink and silver snowflakes on them, too cute!
Aunt Brigett come over Saturday afternoon to spend some quality time with Chloe! And to also give Jason and I a much needed/wanted date night! Jason and I enjoyed drinks and dinner and then we went to the movie and saw Due Date, we laughed so much, it was such a fun date night. Brigett, thank you so much for babysitting! Chloe and Brig went shopping and visited Brig's friend, Nancy, and Chloe even got to play with their baby:) Everyone had a great time! This morning Chloe wanted sparkles on her eyes so Brig helped her out with that:)
With all of the cold weather we wanted to be sure her new snow suit fits and it did! Chloe loved her snow pants and even wore them for nap! They are like a new addition to her dress up clothes:)
Saturday Chloe was having an arts and crafts day, playing with play doh and makers. Every few minutes she would look at me with a concerning look and say "Eat it?", it's so confusing!
Friday was a cold rainy day so Chloe and I beat the rainy day blues with a little shopping:) Chloe and I both fell in love with the Melissa and Doug doll Julianna, she has hair and that's what Chloe was looking for, perfect!

Busy Fall Week!

Today Uncle Rich came over and Chloe had a great time having a dance party with him. Except this dance party was all slow dancing to Ariel's theme song! And Rich got the pleasure of dancing with Cy all morning:) We had a great lunch at Okoboji Grill treated by Rich, thank you! Chloe has enough left overs for the month;) And we said good bye to gramma but we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Wednesday morning Gramma came for a visit. We all went to the library and Chloe had fun showing gramma her story time fun. That afternoon Gramma let Chloe pick out a new toy at the store and she picked Tinkerbell's dress! Thank you, Chloe loves to play dress up! She had been eyeing it in the Christmas catalog for weeks! We had a fun day of playing, dancing, spinning, eating and napping:)

Then that started a requested photo shoot:) Even girly girls play with match box cars!

Then Tuesday evening I headed out for my first Zumba class and daddy and Chloe spent the evening together. I think everyone had a great time! Chloe was really into Belle this day and wanted her picture taken with her on the wall:)
On Monday Chloe had her second Wiggle Bugs gymnastics class. She did great and had so much fun! It's amazing how much improved she is at waiting for her turn, I was very impressed.
Then Tuesday we went to a play date at a new friend's house, Alicia and her two boys were there but her daughter was at preschool, but there were 6 more kids, Chloe and 6 moms. Chloe loved playing with the Barbie Dream House, it was the only toy she really played with along with some of her girl friends, Marissa and Kelsey.

One final Halloween Party!

There was also some prizes for the mom's to win. And I won these amazing cake balls, sounds good right? They are even better than they look! Included flavors are pink champagne, white chocolate, chocolate mint and a few more. Delicious!
Mommy and Chloe checking out the art work. There was a pumpkin walk and when the music stopped they would call out numbers corresponding with the number on the pumpkins and if you were on that pumpkin you won a prize. Chloe won several times and her first two prizes she picked out where little Halloween notebooks that she called her "lists"! Oh no, what have I done?!?!?

This afternoon we went to the Ankeny Mom's Group Annual Family/Halloween/Fall Party. Chloe was so pumped to wear her dress again for another Halloween party, she had a blast. Here are daddy and Chloe coloring, decorating mini pumpkins and using as many stickers as they can;)

Weekend Tailgate!

After a 2 1/2 hour nap Chloe was ready to play hair dresser with daddy. Good look:)

On a side note, Chloe is potty trained! She has been wearing "unnerwear" since Tuesday afternoon and yesterday was her first no accident day followed again by perfect potty chair use again today! I am so proud of her and it's crazy to not have to change 6 diapers a day anymore. I guess that has just been replaced with potty chair duty, I'll take that!
Snack time, Chloe ate all the sprinkles off of the donut and was finished;)

Brig and Chloe doing some drawings in the RV.

Chloe (and all of the adults as well) loved the motorized scooter cooler!

Chris, Tyler, Chloe and Scott paused for a group picture.
One of Chloe's favorite things to do with the RV is to go up and down the stairs as many times in a row as she can.

A classic cousin red head pic.
Chloe has all of her ISU gear on and is ready for the party:)

Today we packed up and headed out to Ames for the ISU vs Nebraska football tailgate at Uncle Rich's RV. Chloe found Aunt Brigett quickly and hung out with her all afternoon long. Thanks for hosting Rich, we had a blast!
