Happy 3rd Birthday Chloe!!!

Saturday night gramma made the trip after work to spend Chloe's birthday with her.  Here she is opening her present from gramma and grandpa, a barbie house!
 Reading her card with gramma.
Here comes the fun part for daddy, building it!  Chloe helped build it too, I think with hopes that she would be able to play with it faster:)
This morning Chloe got to open some presents from mommy and daddy.  First up the Shrek dvd!  This girl is a movie buff like her parents!
Next, Fawn, one of Tinkerbell's friends.
Chloe's birthday flowers:)  Can you believe it, at 3 years old Chloe already has an appreciation for fresh flowers!
Uncle Rich and Aunt Andrea came over to celebrate with us.  Chloe was so excited to see them and then by the look on her face you can tell that she was excited to get the Royal Castle!
The Royal Castle all set up!
The barbie house all put together!  Chloe has had the best birthday ever!  She played all morning with gramma, went to school and celebrated her birthday and Halloween with all her friends, after school we took her out for ice cream, followed by playing outside on this gorgeous day, then out for Mexican with family, then back home to play endlessly with her new toys with the people she loves, and ending with snuggling with daddy on the couch watching Shrek!

Thank you daddy, gramma, Rich and Andrea for helping to make this 3rd birthday extra special for Chloe.  She loves you all so much and really appreciates all the time you spend with her.  The gifts are way too cool and have already been played with for hours.  We are looking forward to seeing the rest of the family this weekend and celebrating together!

Trick or Treat!

Sunday afternoon we went to our friends, the Petersen's, for some pre-trick or treating fun. Here are the kids all ready to go.  We had a great time watching Chloe trick or treat.  This year she could walk up, say trick or treat and return all by herself.  She was so happy with the piece of candy she'd receive every single time:)

An hour later Chloe laid down in the wagon, put blankets on top of herself and said she was done trick or treating and was ready to go home and see gramma!

Beauty and the Beast

Today we were so lucky to get to go to Beauty and the Beast with our friends.  The show was in Ames at Stephens Auditorium and it was amazing!  There was a Princess Party before the musical started.  Here is Chloe finding the rose in the picture, then she gets a sticker and after all 4 stations she got to claim a piggy bank prize.
 Chloe looking beautiful as Belle!
Chloe also enjoyed a little story time at the party.
Hannah joined her for some story time.
Sitting nice and listening very well!
Adalyn, Chloe and Hannah or should I say Belle, Belle and Belle in front of the sign.
The princesses getting ready for the second act!

Mid Week Fun!

Chloe and I did some shopping yesterday and she has got her own fashion sense already!  She picked out this vest and just had to have it.  I had to agree, first of all it's black and secondly it's sooo soft.  She's even doing her own little poses for the camera now too:)  She cracks me up!
Chloe made me smile by requesting we take our picture together:)
Last night's dance class was the best one yet!  It was fun, energetic and they taught several new moves and practiced a lot of what they learned already.  Chloe is on the blue outfit.  They are practicing their ballerina walks, on tippy toes while holding their skirts out!
Here they are in second position doing plies, very fancy!  Chloe is getting better at the moves and is having so much fun learning and dancing!

Weekend Celebrations!

Saturday night we had the pleasure of celebrating and attending Tyler's confirmation.  We are so proud of him!
We also got to celebrate papa's 59th birthday!!!  Happy Birthday Dad/papa, we love you very much!
Sunday afternoon after hanging out with Gramma and Grandpa Smith we walked down to Great Gramma Smith's house.  Chloe was so happy to see her again and had a blast playing there.
Here is some of Chloe's latest school art work.  They are so creative and I just love that Chloe is enjoying art more!

Bippity, Boppity, Boo!

Chloe is really embracing Halloween this year!  She loves everything about pumpkins from picking them out, to carving them and watching them glow on the front porch.  The only thing she wasn't fond of was digging out the seeds, she absolutely refused!  We even caught her hugging and kissing them when we were out of the room!
This year she picked out Cinderella themed carvings, her glass slipper, the castle and the carriage.  I think they turned out great and Chloe was so happy!  Her favorite was the carriage:)
She wanted to sit outside all night and watch them glow.  We had to move them over to the other side of the porch so she could see them from the picture window in the living room:)

Chloe Girl!

Chloe made a comfortable bed out of pillows and stuffed animals.  They are also up on top of storage bins so that's why the picture looks a little weird:)
Chloe has been loving preschool!  Here is a pumpkin she made at school this week.  They have the most creative ideas and she is starting to really get into arts and crafts more:)
Stretching out at Tuesday night dance class.
 A little off beat...:)
A little more confusion but still stretching and having fun!
Sitting close to her fave teacher Hannah:)
Chloe also started a new story time, this one is geared towards 3-4 yo, it's really fun for her.  They read, count, sing and do a craft.

What a wonderful weekend!

Saturday morning us girls went to the orchard with our fave Petersen girls:)
Chloe, Hannah and Ava feeding the goats.
Chloe loves the corn pool on a fun, fall day!
Chloe and Hannah petting, talking to and enjoying the sheep.
Chloe and Hannah loved the trampoline pillow so much this time!
They did great jumping with the bigger kids surrounding them too.
They held hands and must have been playing their own little game because they were having a blast!
 So much fun!
Hannah and Chloe riding the caboose together.  Ava wasn't so sure about the train yet.
 Choo-choo!
Last activity of the afternoon, the duck, water pump races:)
Saturday evening daddy had a great night going out to a concert with Uncle Tyler.  And us girls had a great time having Girls Night Out, or GNO like Rebecca like to call it;)  First up, getting Chloe's ears pierced!!!  This was Chloe's birthday wish and this was the perfect opportunity to get it done:)    Chloe was so excited, so brave and did awesome!  Here they are before.
And the after!  Chloe picked out 14k white gold, diamond, daisy studs, so pretty!  Included in the piercing package, Chloe got a sticker, a lollipop and bag of popcorn afterwards, all her fave things to ease the pain a little.  Chloe asked me if she was bigger now even though it wasn't quite yet her birthday:)  We did some shopping and played at the mall playground to round out our evening.  What an awesome GNO!
Today we went to the Petersen's for a Halloween party.  Here are Ariel and Jessie the Cowgirl!
Jessie, Ariel, Tiana and Minnie Mouse, but T-Rex was still napping at this point:)
Craft time, decorating a pumpkin with stickers!
Next up, painting pumpkins, Chloe's fave!  Followed by cupcakes and lots of playing.  What a fun party, thanks for having us over!
