Happy 2nd Birthday Chloe!!!

Rebecca took our picture a few weeks ago and this is my fave family portrait:) it's at the park around the corner from our home. Thank you Rebecca, I know this was no easy task;)!
Happy 2nd Birthday Chloe!!! This morning Chloe opened the remainder of her birthday presents, she has the hang of it after practicing all month long:)

She's sitting on her princess blanket, with her wild socks, putting on rings.

Then she had to put on her new princess outfit right away and read her princess books. Later on we watched her new movie, Tinkerbell:) We had a very low key day which was actually nice after having spent the last few weeks celebrating her b-day, going to Halloween parties and trick or treating last night.

Gramma and Grandpa brought up some of my old bedroom furniture, here is the hand me down shelf. Chloe likes it and had fun putting her books on the shelf.

Birthday and Trick or Treating!

Our pumpkins lit up on the front porch.
Finally at home and she digs into the mini oreo cookies, those were the second treats she got and had her eye on them all night.

Daddy pulling Chloe and she has her glow stick in hand.

Chloe really knew what this was all about after a few houses. She would say trick or treat, tell them who she was, what her name was, hold old she is and a very nice thank you at the end. Jason said, "you think this is fun....wait til you figure out what Christmas is like;)", I thought that was funny:)

A princess gets to ride in a wagon! Chloe rode in the wagon for the beginning, then walked, then wanted to be carried. We only went a few blocks around our neighborhood but it took well over an hour. We all had so much fun!

A little snuggle action before the big outing!

Tonight was trick or treating in Ankeny. Chloe was so excited to go, she has been waiting all month and has had daily dress rehearsals;)

Thanks for the presents and the fun afternoon! We love you:)

Here she is using her new, frog, pet blanket as a cape:)

Rebecca and Chloe are putting on the princess crazy bandz, accessorize!

Today we spent the afternoon with Rebecca and Uncle Tyler. Here is Chloe opening a birthday presents from them.

In the Halloween Spirit

My finished pumpkin, it's a spider!
Friday night we carved our pumpkins. We were talking about the last time that we carved pumpkins and came up with in college. So we were a little rusty but we had a lot of fun doing it. Chloe wouldn't touch any of it saying that it was ucky! And yes, she's wearing her dress again today. She wanted to wear her Tinkerbell jammies and her Cinderella dress all day and I thought was a great idea:)

There was a teen age girl dressed up as Snow White and I think Chloe thought she was the real deal, she was in ah, shouting Snow White:)

Thursday evening we went to Trick-Or-Read at the library. It was so fun, there were arts n crafts, Halloween story times, trick or treating and the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown movie with popcorn. Here is Chloe with her mask that she made after pealing off most of the puffy stickers.

Thursday as Chloe was getting dressed I told her that she was going to wear a dress for pictures. So after she put the dress on she ran and got my camera and posed for a picture:) Then we went and got her 2 year old pictures taken, it was quite the morning but I think they turned out super cute:)

Wednesday already!

Today Chloe had a fun morning at story time. She's a little reserved while we are there but loves to talk about all the activities we do before and after:)

Afterwards we went to Triad to get her signed up for gymnastics, thanks to her birthday gift certificate:) We were on a tour and she really wanted to get right in the gym and play, good thing we start Monday!

Tis the season...

Here is Chloe with her arts and crafts from the party. A paper plate pumpkin and a real pumpkin that was sprayed black with chalk board spray so she could draw on it with chalk, very cool!
Today we went to a friend's Halloween Party and since it had rained and was cold out, Chloe thought she needed to bundle up!

On Monday Chloe got to return a birthday toy that she already had and picked out a new one, a package of princess play shoes:) She is wearing the blue Cinderella ones of course;)

Chloe got to have a birthday cupcake for breakfast with Gramma:)

Papa and a Halloween Party!

Then they enjoyed playing in the yard but Chloe was calling for me to bring her dress down to her:) We stayed for lunch and desert and more playing. There were 5 moms and 9 kids partying, what a fun time!
Xander , Jackson and Sawyer are joining the art table.

It was a prefect fall day outside, cool but warm with the sunshine.

Chloe, Ethan and Brom painting their pumpkins.

Here is Chloe painting her pumpkin. She had soooo much fun painting, there are a lot of layers going on;)

During the ball hunt, they also got to find a pumpkin to decorate!

Then the kids went on a rubber ball hunt and collected the balls in their cute little Halloween baskets.

Today we had a very fun time at a friend's Halloween Party. Chloe dressed up as Cinderella as soon as we arrived at the party.

Wednesday morning we had an impromptu visit from papa! Chloe was so excited to see her papa again:) He treated us to breakfast where Chloe enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream on top! Then afterwards Chloe got to see papa's truck. Later on that day we were talking about grandpa's visit and Chloe talked about his truck and said that it had a lot of room in it:)
