Memorial Weekend High Lights

We are going to have so much fun at the water park this summer!

Chloe didn't want to leave but then came home and slept with daddy for over 2 hours!

Then we finally made it to the water park. It was so awesome, new, huge and so much fun!

Today Chloe helped daddy wash the vehicles in her pool gear.

Sunday we met up with Rich, Andrea and their friends at the camp grounds. Chloe is a nature girl for sure! There were at least a half dozen older girls that Chloe played with all afternoon and evening:) We all had a blast!

Ava, Hannah and Chloe watching the dads play ball.

Nothing is cuter than a toddler eating corn on the cob:)

We had our friends over for supper. The girls are enjoying some corn on the cob, watermelon, cole slaw, steak and fruit smoothies!

A Tribute To My Gramma K.

I tried my hardest but I wasn't as prepared as I hoped I would be to attend my Grandma Kneifl's funeral on Tuesday. My heart sank with sadness but my mind was flooded with some of the happiest memories of my life growing up in the Kneifl family.

I have faith that she is at peace, that she is holding grandpa's hand again and that today she is still smiling with tears in her eyes at the wonderful family she brought together in her honor yesterday. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful woman. I love you gramma K.

Fun filled weekend!

Sunday afternoon we headed to SL to stay at gramma and grandpa Smith's, we were able to see Brigett and Tyler too. Monday Jason and I headed out for our first overnight away from Chloe! Brigett took the kids to gramma and grandpa Kneifl's house that evening and by the way it sounded, everything went smooth! Thank you all so much for taking care of Chloe. It means a lot to us and now we look forward to future sleepovers;)

On Monday, Jason and I went to Council Bluffs where we met up with our friends for dinner and drinks. Then we all went to see the Foo Fighters concert. Jason and I love Foo, we even had them as our wedding song:) The show was so fun, small venue, hits from the past and hits from their latest album along with some entertaining covers as well. The openers weren't able to make it so Foo played even longer, it was AMAZING! We both agreed that it made us feel young again!

Saturday evening we had our friends, the Petersen's, over for dinner, drinks and hanging out. It was such a fun night, the kids played outside until it was well into the night, looking for stars before coming inside to play. The girls had to do dress up of course:)

This weekend was so busy! We took Chloe to Sesame Street Live for the first time. She had a blast and loved seeing her favorite characters in person. The show was wonderful, great music, amazing costumes and a fun all around family activity.

That afternoon gramma and grandpa Smith and friends, Dave and Audrey, came over. We had a fun time being outside and enjoying each other's company.

Our fun weekend!

What a fun weekend we had! First, gramma and grandpa Smith came over Friday evening and stayed the night. Then Saturday we all went to Tyler and Rebecca's where Chloe got to do her favorite thing, play with Kiko:) Then we drove past T & R's new house!

Saturday evening Brigett and Tyler came over and stayed the night. They took Chloe out for their monthly mall play ground, smoothies and pretzels evening and gave Jason and I a date night! We had fun going to the movies and seeing Brides Maids. It was such a funny movie and we always appreciate getting some alone time to go out as a couple and have some fun.

It was great to spend the weekend with so much family! Thanks for visiting us:)

New Activities This Week:)

When we got home Chloe saw a school bus driving by our house and she yelled, "Wait school bus! Oh darn, I missed it". I bet these next three weeks will feel like years to her;)

Chloe also picked out her back pack for school. It starts in 3 weeks and she can hardly wait.

Thursday morning Chloe woke up asking for a princess wand. And to my surprise she didn't have one! A quick trip to Target and that was all taken care of:)

Chloe wearing her new shirt from Brigett and Tyler's vacation cruise to Cozumel. It's a fancy, beaded, princess shirt, thank you!

There was an art exhibit at the gardens, it was all about bugs/insects, it was very cool!

What a great week we have had! We had the best day of gymnastics yet! Chloe really has learned to follow directions, take her turn and line up when the next activity begins, it's so awesome:) Then we went to the Reiman Gardens in Ames with our group of friends. Afterwards we had lunch with daddy then headed out to Storm Lake to stay with Brigett and Tyler. Gramma Kneifl met us Tuesday afternoon and we went out for ice cream and some shoe shopping. Thanks for treats gramma! Later that afternoon Brig and Tyler got home and we enjoyed spending time with each other, snacks, supper, and going on a walk before going to Tyler's choir concert. He did an amazing job and I was so happy to be able to watch/listen to his performance. He has such great talent in academics, athletics and the arts. We are so proud of our nephew:) While I was at the concert Chloe got to hang out with gramma and grandpa Smith. They had a blast playing at the park and going out for ice cream!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Baby Ava was such the perfect, little girl too. We had such a wonderful time! We hope all you mothers out there had a very special day and got to be celebrated!!!

We love playing together!

Chloe and Hannah having fun together, they are such sweet friends:)

We had such a blast at the winery! We all did the wine tastings, picked out a couple bottles and enjoyed them while sitting out on the lawn and listening to the live jazz music. The girls had a blast being out side all day, running around, playing, dancing, eating and drinking. Hannah and Chloe are already down by the stage getting ready to dance.

I had a wonderful mother's day. It started off with cards and a gift from Jason and Chloe, then Jason making me breakfast, next I was thankful to receive a special blessing for mother's at church, then we all went out to my fave Mexican restaurant for lunch were they gave me a rose, then we went with our friends to Summerset Winery in Indianola! At the winery they had mimosas, chocolate and a rose for all the moms! Perfect!

Happy Mother's Day!

Saturday: Chloe was "painting" the patio:)

All done!!!!! Great job daddy, thank you!!!!!

Flying like super man!

She's having so much fun!

She just started to swing on the big kids swing and is already a dare devil at it, go figure!

Taking a snuggle break from playing.

Friday was a fun day! We went to the park with our friends and played during the afternoon and the weather was gorgeous. Then when daddy got home he built Chloe a swing set! Chloe was so excited! She couldn't even wait until it was all put together. As soon as the stairs where built she was climbing up onto the platform. Then as soon as the slide was on she was going down it. And so forth with the swings:) She absolutely loves to play with it! She played on it until the sun went down.

Then Saturday morning she was eating breakfast, saw the swing set out the glass sliding doors and jumped out of her seat and said "I need to go play outside!". That afternoon we went to the East Village to look around at all the cute shops and restaurants and had lunch. Then we went to look at a house that Tyler and Rebecca were checking out, we love to house hunt! That evening we had a great time being outside, grilling out, having some cold ones and playing on the swing set:)

Happy May Day and Cinco de Mayo!

Bella, Hannah, Chloe and Beckett enjoying their tea party with home made cinnamon and sugar tortilla chips:) They each got to paint and take home two maracas!

When we got to Hannah's house this morning for Cinco de Mayo she said "Hola" and showed off her new iguana tee shirt that Gramma and Grandpa Smith got her while on vacation in Mexico, how festive:)

Chloe got a Dr's set and loves to play Dr! She calls herself Dr. Chloe and enjoys taking blood pressure, hearing your heart beat, taking your temperature and giving shots:)

I like this one, I think he was writing that his brother is crazy:) and a picture with hi there.

Chloe sat next to an older boy at church and they were passing notes to each other. Here are a couple cute ones:) It's nice to know that some things never change:)

On Monday Chloe had her best day yet at gymnastics! She followed directions, lined up, listened, did her activities and had so much fun! It was wonderful for both of us:)

Tuesday we met up with our friends, Stephanie, Hannah and Ava at the library for some fun.

Wednesday we went with them to a music class. That was really fun since Chloe's music class is all over.

And today we to their house again as they hosted a Cinco de Mayo play date!

One of my favorite things that Chloe has said lately was one night when I was taking her braids out. She saw her curly hair in the mirror, giggled and said "I have curly hair like you, I love it!", melt my heart!
