Every Family Rocks Concert!

Sunday we enjoyed going to the Every Family Rocks Concert.  I actually won tickets to it!  Chloe and daddy checking out the rescued reptile exhibit.

Summer Break!

Last week kicked off the first week of summer break.  We had so much fun going to Jester Natural Park.  It's an all natural park, wood, water and rocks, so cool!

Then we enjoyed story time at the fire station.  A fire fighter read books and then we got a tour of the station.  Chloe was pretty brave when it came to the fire fighter wearing the mask and gear.

We had a fun time having some friends over during the Memorial Day weekend.  It was very warm and the kids had a blast playing outside and in the pool!

Reiman Gardens!

 Tuesday we enjoyed going to Reiman Gardens in Ames.  They hosted a story time and craft.  Following that we had a great time walking the gardens.  There was a lego exhibit going on and it was very cool!

Weekends Rule!

 We had such a fun weekend!  It kicked off Friday night with dinner and lots of playing at our friends, the Petersen's, house.  It's so nice to have the kids play outside all night!  Then Saturday morning we enjoyed several hours of farmer's market, some garage sale shopping and lunch.  When we got home Jason said, "We only drove 10 miles!".  I replied, "That's one of the many reasons I love living in Ankeny! We had to go nearly 10 miles just to get to our parking space in Denver;)". 

Then Saturday afternoon Aunt Brigett and Cousin Annie came over for date night!  Chloe was so excited to have them both here to play with.  I have to say it was so nice to have Annie playing with Chloe because that left my sister and I some time to chat with each other!  Jason and I had a wonderful night out together including dinner and a movie.  Chloe loved playing, going out to supper, shopping, going out for ice cream, making bracelets and more playing!  Thanks so much for staying and watching Chloe. All 3 of us really appreciated everything!

Best Mother's Day Ever!

We went to my parent's for a short but wonderful visit.  Got there Saturday just in time to go out to lunch at the delicious Bev's On the River!  I've been hearing about their outings there for years and have forever felt left out.  Well now I know what all the fuss was about, it was sooooo good!  Thanks so much for a delicious and fun Mother's Day lunch!  Afterwards we were excited to see gramma's new side car and kitchen.  I guess I only got pictures of the side car though:)  Jason had a blast giving rides too:)

Next up was smoothie and margarita time!  Chloe was enjoying the special treats gramma, papa and daddy were wippin up:)

Gramma and papa also cooked a fabulous dinner for everyone.  And of course Chloe was a great helper:)  You certainly know how to celebrate!  Thanks for all the delicious food, it's just what this pregnant mama appreciates food and no cooking or cleaning:))))

When we got home Sunday daddy and Chloe gave me my special presents.  Chloe picked out the biggest puppy card she could find and painted some lovely pictures on the inside!

Chloe also painted me a picture of a rainbow on canvas and it was framed in a special frame that recorded her and daddy's tear jerking message that I will have forever, so sweet!  Thank you all for the special mother's day weekend!

The past week or so in review:)

 A week ago we were excited to go to the theatre with our friends and see Flat Stanley!

 Chloe and Adalyn at the theatre ready for the show to start!  We had a great time, Chloe talked about it all weekend, thanks for the tickets Christi:)

 Saturday Gramma and Papa Smith came to visit.  We had a fun time watching the Kentucky Derby, and Chloe got in on the action racing her horse Chubby and winning the race:)  We had Tyler and Rebecca over as well for a grill out, it was great weather with wonderful family time:)  Thanks for coming to visit!

 Sunday, Gramma Kneifl came for a visit.  Here are gramma and Chloe having some down time that night eating popcorn and snuggling.  Gramma treated us to supper that night, then her and I enjoyed a girls lunch out and after Chloe was done with school we always enjoy having some fro-yo.  Thanks for taking us out, it was such a treat to not have to cook and clean! 

 Wednesday Chloe had her first bam bam game!  The team is going to the dug out after the Star Spangled Banner.

 Chloe hit the ball off the tee and took off toward first base with daddy's guidance. 

 All of the kids would run after the ball after they hit it instead of going to first base!  It was hilarious to watch and so much fun to play too:)

 Then they take turns fielding.  When it's not their turn to field they sure do keep busy building sand castles:)
