Our move to IA and settling in.....

To end a fun day with a fun night, we had a dance party. Aunt Andrea and Uncle Rich make the best dance partners:)
Then she slipped into the mud and had even more fun!
Saturday afternoon we went on a walk in the neighborhood. It stormed the night before and that lead to some great puddles for Chloe to run through.
Uncle Tyler came out to help us load the moving truck and also drove it the whole way back to IA! We are so grateful for all of his help, thank you Tyler!
Chloe needed to call some friends on the long drive back to IA.
We are so happy that the People's are from IA and that we will get to see them multiple times a year, that made our move easier just knowing that!
Fin took Chloe moving literally;)
Before we left on Thursday Fin and Theresa came over with lots of goodies and to say good bye.
Chloe and Noah had fun break dancing on the card board box!
Of course they needed to hydrate too.

On our second to last day in Denver we got to play with Noah. They played so hard they needed a rest;)

Salvaged the photos before the camera quit:)

I was able to save the pictures I took on the first few days og our trip to Iowa!

A small summary of the last few weeks.

Well it has been a while since our last posting because our camera broke and we haven't replaced it yet. But that doesn't mean that we haven't had anything to post:) We have had a lot going on around the Smith household lately. We made a trip back to IA and I have to say that this time it felt like we took a real vacation.

First off we had fun going camping with my brother and sister in law. I was a little worried about Chloe having enough to do and she proved to me that camping is one of her favorite things to do! She loved going on nature walks, swimming, playing on the play ground, playing with Rambo and Zella, eating, napping here and there and waving to all the people walking or driving by. Chloe had fun playing with Ethan and Ava. We also got to meet Julia for the first time and Chloe had a blast becoming fast friends with her. It was so fun to see all the friends and family that could make it to the camp grounds.

Then we spent some time in SL. I got to see Tyler's baseball games, got my hair cut, went to lunch with the ladies (my sister and mom:), and even went to the movies with my sister! See what I mean when I say it felt like a real vacation?! Chloe got in lots of playing at the park, playing at the beach, going to the water park, going on walks, and spending quality time with her family.

It was such a fun time and we are so thankful for every one's generosity and hospitality. Now it's onto some busy days and nights for us as we are getting ready to move back to Iowa! It has been a long time coming and now that it's days away it hardly seems real. We were able to have one last party with our friends Saturday night and loved being able to chat and say good bye to the people that have helped us call Denver home for the last 9 years.

These past few days have been filled with boxes, boxes and more boxes. Chloe has been spending the morning with friends so we can get a little more stuff taken care of before the big move. We are so thankful to have made such wonderful friends and that will be the hardest part about moving away, if only we could pack them up with us, we would. But good thing Denver makes such a great vacation destination:)

This will be all for now and I hope to create some new posts after we settle down in Iowa. We will be staying with my brother and sister in law and we are more thankful every day for how they have opened their home to us.
