Our wonderful weekend!

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. We were so happy to be able to spend yet another holiday with family. We love you all!

After our delicious Easter feast and nap:)

Andrea helping Chloe out with her eggs.

They were filled with princess necklaces, bracelets, and socks!

Time to see what's inside!

And one over by the rocks.

Running is more her pace;)

Found another one by the turtle.

Chloe did great and had a blast doing the egg hunt!

While we were at church the Easter Bunny came and hid eggs! Rich and Andrea also arrived too;) The Easter Bunny had an egg hanging from the tree, how creative!

Chloe and gramma looking pretty together!

In motion while dancing:)

Sunday morning all dressed up for church!

Rich and Andrea came over Saturday night too. Here is Chloe doing Andrea's hair:)

Aunt Andrea shared her lip stick with Chloe and you know how Chloe likes lots of layers:) I think she even found her earrings in her purse and is trying to wear them too! Chloe is wearing her new dress from gramma and grandpa Smith, they got it while on vacation in Mexico!

Gramma and Grandpa Kneifl arrived Saturday evening when Chloe and daddy returned. Here is Chloe with her Easter gifts.

Chloe had so much fun, she asked when she could go back to gramma's house again!

Chloe and gramma coloring Easter eggs!

Thursday night Uncle Rich came over and brought along a huge Easter bunny for Chloe. She had so much fun playing. And yes, here are Rich, Chloe and the bunny all in the castle together:)

Friday we went to Marissa and Kelsey's house for a pre-Easter play date/ Easter egg hunt. Chloe had so much fun finding her green eggs. All the kids were assigned a color and they got to find those specific eggs. That way they all got the same amount. I thought that was a creative genius idea from Judi.

Then Friday late afternoon when daddy got home, he and Chloe went on their first road trip together and had their first over night away from mommy! It was a big deal around here as this was our first over night away from each other. They went to Storm Lake and stayed at Gramma and Grandpa Smith's home. They played with gramma's Barbie, colored Easter eggs, Chloe got an Easter basket with candy and a very cute, bunny apron and over mit. They said they had a great time and there weren't any issues and Chloe was perfect! Yay! I had a wonderful time too. I was sad to say good bye but I wasn't wasting any time dwelling on their departure. I went shopping, out to the movies, stayed up late watching tv, and read my book. But since I am who I am, I also did laundry, got groceries, cleaned the house, cooked for Easter and woke up early. But what a wonderful break for me and a great time for Chloe to spend alone time with daddy and her grandparents.

Mid week in April

We had yet another fun, middle of the week.

Tuesday we went to a play date at Hannah's house, there were 8 kids and 5 moms. The kids decorated cupcakes and made Easter candy necklaces. Chloe's necklace was about half the size of the other kids' hmmmm I wonder why?

Wednesday we had a great time at story time. It was the last session until summer! But we'll continue to go there weekly even without story time, Chloe loves the library:)

Today we had fun at music class. Instead of Chloe sitting with the teacher, she sat with her bff/ Selma's mom today! I guess she uses the first few songs as social warm up time;)Above is a picture of Chloe playing downstairs, a little dress up and some pretend shopping!

Busy little 2 year old.

The rest of our week was fun and busy. I n short we went to the library on our own time on Wednesday because we didn't make it to story time and had our own fun. Then Thursday we had fun at Kindermusik and Chloe has really taken a liking to Ms Tina and insisted that she be her partner for the first few activities. I joked that I would just go to Starbucks and return by the time class was over;) Thursday evening Rich came over for a visit, as always it's great to see him and catch up on life. Friday we had fun hosting a play date with Hannah and her little sister Ava. The girls had a great time together and of course played dress up, next time I will have to take a picture, they are too cute!

For the weekend: Saturday was busy, we went to Tyler and Rebecca's, played with them and of course Caz, went tout to lunch, went shopping and exchanged music with each other, what fun! Then that evening we went to the Petersen's (Hannah and Ava's) for dinner. Us adults had fun eating drinking and relaxing while the girls had fun playing, making art and running around. Sunday Chloe and I had a nice little tea party. Chloe even added the chairs and dolls to the party all by herself!

The start of this week: Today we had an especially fun day at gymnastics, not sure what made it so much more fun but it was....for both of us:) Then we took a trip to the Dollar Store, I have to say it was awesome! Everything was a dollar, so cheap! Chloe picked out some stickers, a dress up hat, a basket and a doll. I think we will take a trip there again in the future.

Beginning of the week fun!

Chloe and the giraffes:) After seeing all the animals, playing on the zoo playground, eating lunch and checking out the gift shop, we went to DQ! Chloe, Marissa, Kelsey, Judi and I really enjoyed our day at the zoo and the ice cream cones were a great way to wrap up our day!
Mommy and Chloe looking at the giraffes, my fave:)
Trying to get the girls to pose but Chloe thought that is was more for playing on, I think she's right.
Playing on the caterpillar.
Marissa, Kelsey, Chloe and Madeline all front seat drivers:)
This was part of a display and all the girls had to take turns driving the truck:)
Chloe and Madeline looking at the penguins.
Madeline, Chloe and Kelsey holding hands:) Madeline is another friend that Chloe has so much fun with, we were glad to see her and her mom Pam again.
" This mommy goat is very hungry", that's what Chloe kept telling me:)
This was probably Chloe's favorite part, feeding the goats! She loved feeding them one piece at a time. Although I think they could have ate her entire cup of food in one gulp;)
Taking a juice break. It was perfect zoo weather, 70's and sunny.
They could pass as sisters:) Chloe, Marissa and Kelsey.
We spent the day with Judi and her daughters, Kelsey and Marissa. The girls like each other so much and really get along great!
Tuesday morning we had a great trip to the zoo with our moms group. Chloe found the duck in the rain forest part of the zoo.
What does Chloe do when she can't talk to Brigett on the phone for real? She pretends to talk to her on the phone:)
Monday we went to gymnastics class and had a great time. Spring energy was within Chloe and her peers this day for sure! After that we went to Burger King to celebrate Marissa's 4th birthday. The kids enjoyed eating, playing on the place place and getting birthday cookies. Then we came home and played outside some more, it's been so nice out, a real Spring season! Chloe wanted to get all dressed up for playing outside, including heals, umbrella and her new accessory that she takes everywhere...her purse!

Spring is here and we like it!

And again since the after deserves a couple pictures:)
Here is the after!
Here is the before. Jason fixed the pole because it was rotting. Then we scooped out all the rock border, pounded the dirt back down to make it even, laid sand then the tiles. We wanted the patio to be a bit bigger and also to get rid of the rocks. And when I say we I really mean that Jason did 75% and it looks amazing!
Safe from the rain;)
This weekend we spent the majority of out time outside doing yard work and fixing up the patio. Saturday afternoon Rich and Andrea took a cruse out on the bike and came over for a visit. And to much our gratitude they jumped right in and helped us scoop rock, thanks so much for your help! It was a much bigger project than we expected. Above is Chloe running through the sprinkler with her umbrella. She was pretending that she was the Little Mermaid and that it was raining out:) I love her imagination just as much as she does.

Thursday we had a fun time at music class. Chloe is into the routine and loves to see her little girl friend Selma there each week. They always greet each other with a huge hug and even bigger smiles. Here she is striking a pose for me, she came up with it all one her own too:)

Friday we didn't have any plans and Uncle Rich had great timing inviting us to lunch. We had a yummy lunch out to Boji Grill and then a shopping trip where Rich treated Chloe to a new toy. She picked out a Rapunzel doll set that includes Eugene, the horse and some accessories. Thanks for a fun lunch "hour" ;)

A lot goes on in a week!

Today we had a fun time at story time again. Then we had to go shopping for Chloe since the seasons are changing and she has continued to grow like a weed. We found a bunch of cute shorts, tees, tanks, tunics, and sandals. This was no easy task considering how tall she is and how slim she is as well but after trying on a few things I was able to get a lot accomplished. I swear it's harder than it sounds:) In this picture Chloe is playing that she is calling Brigett but from what I overheard Brigett was at work:) Thank you everyone for spending time with Chloe (and Jason and I). It's apparent that she loves you all so much! We've had a great past week!
This is Tuesday afternoon outside. Chloe's sportin the new outfit from gramma, too cute!
Chloe wanted to show gramma the boat that she built on Saturday at the home Depot kids workshop. Daddy and Chloe spent some fun time together with tools while mommy and Brigett went shopping:)
Chloe loves playing with gramma, it's like mom and dad aren't even in the room when she's around!
Then Monday after gymnastics class we came home to gramma ready to play! We had a great time going out to lunch, playing at the mall, and playing at home. Then Tuesday we went to lunch again, as tradition tells we went to Noodle Zoo:) Then we played in the back yard and then went to the park and gramma had to go home late that afternoon.
Brig and Chloe playing around with the Easter bucket Brigett brought along. I don't think they had enough time to decorate the eggs though. But we made sure to decorate and eat the cookies! Brig had to take off Saturday afternoon and we spent the rest of the weekend playing outside and doing yard work.
And also a nice picture of her cups:) She took about 60 pictures that night!
Chloe was practicing her photography skills Friday night. I like this one for some reason:)
Chloe was hosting a fish fry for everyone including her barbies:)

.
Catching up: Last Wednesday we had a great time at story time. Thursday was another fun music class. Friday we tried something new and went to Monkey Joe's, it's an inflatable play place. We met up with our friends there and Chloe had a blast. After that our friends were going to the mall, it was just across the street. And when Chloe heard that she had to go too! So we all played at the play area then got lunch together. What a fun morning and afternoon. .

But our day didn't end there. Brigett came over for the weekend! Then Rich and Andrea came over too and they all left to go out to eat and Jason and I went on a date night! We had a delicious supper and then by Jason's request we went bowling:) We are both competitive by nature and date night was no exception. We played three games: J 114 H105, J58 H84 (we lost our mojo), J148 H147 (we got it back). Then came home to the above activities/pictures.
