Fancy and Fun!

 This past Tuesday we went with friends Sara and Kaylee out to lunch then to see Fancy Nancy and Story Times at the Stephens Auditorium in Ames.  Chloe wanted to dress up real fancy like Fancy Nancy, I think she nailed it:)

Chloe is all smiles after an afternoon nap today!  We've had a very busy week including play dates at Hannah's twice, Fancy Nancy with Kaylee, 2 days of school, gymnastics class, Uncle Rich visiting, supper and fun at Petersen's, and Saturday Gramma and Papa Smith came to visit!  So did Uncle Tyler and Aunt Rebecca!  We had a blast going to the mall, shopping til we dropped, going out to eat, playing at home, and going to church this morning.  We all needed and had a nap today after such a fun week:)

Special Events

 Chloe had a great Valentine's Party at school last week.  She really enjoyed opening all her Valentine's from her friends:)

 Wednesday evening Chloe had her dance recital for the 2nd session of dance class.  She dressed up like Rapunzel and brought her fave Easter Bunny along:)

 But when it came time to the recital, she nailed it!  Go figure;)

 Friday evening we went to Gramma and Papa's house.  Jason had to work the weekend but lucky for us it was for gramma and papa!  So while everyone was hard at work, Gramma generously got us 3 girls tickets to Disney on Ice!!!  Chloe was so excited and had such a great time!

 Today Chloe picked out a Hello Kitty electric tooth brush like her friends Hannah and Ava have.  She's been so excited to use it, she has brushed her teeth 5 times since 3pm!!!

I'm 21.5 weeks preggers and feeling like it;)  Chloe is going to be the best big sister ever!!!

What a week!

The other night Chloe was a dancing machine!  She gave her rendition of Black Swan and it had Jason and I laughing until we cried.  She was soooooo serious and had amazing moves.  It has yet to be repeated in the entirety but thankfully it is burned into our memories:)  Chloe continues to crack us up daily!

This past week was another busy, fun filled week with family and friends.  We enjoyed the Super Bowl festivities with our friends, the Petersen's.  Chloe had 3 afternoons of school, which she loves and where she continues to learn and grow.  Chloe shows continued improvement and excitement for gymnastics each week.  We had a fun play date at Wendy, Ethan and Lucas' house where they so kindly gave us a huge tub of baby boy clothes that filled up the dresser already!  We played at Hannah's house twice this week as well:)  We enjoyed our weekly visit from Uncle Rich.  

Saturday we loved hosting a birthday weekend celebration for my sister Brigett!  We enjoyed going out to eat, eating some home cooking, doing some shopping, an IA State basketball game and victory and quality time spent as a family.  We are so happy you were here and had a wonderful time together.  Thanks for making the trip everyone! 

Yesterday we went to our mom's group, Family Valentine's Day Party.  It was a blast, there was cake, ice cream, bingo, prizes, crafts, goody bags and it ended with the best indoor snowball fight ever.  I'm bummed that I have been forgetting my camera lately (as you can probably tell).  After a week like that, we were exhausted last night, Chloe took a 2 hour nap and still went to bed at a decent time thank goodness.  And now she is enjoying a Valentine's party at school today:)  The fun never ends!

 Friday afternoon Chloe and I headed out to watch Cousin Tyler' basketball games.  Tyler is so talented and it was a blast to see him in action!

 Group shot!  We had to leave early because of the weather back at home.  Chloe is already planning her next trip to Aunt Brigett's!

 Saturday when we got home Chloe got exactly what she has been waiting all winter for....snow!

 Daddy and Chloe had a blast playing in the snow.  My snow clothes don't fit right now so I was a little bummed.  But I'm glad they had so much together.

 While we were gone Jason got right to his honey-do-list.  He painted the downstairs bathroom, looks so good!  With this new color scheme the upstairs decor got moved downstairs for a perfect fit.

 That meant the upstairs bathroom got a make over too!  Love the red, white and black, really brightens it up.

 Baby boy's crib is built and we found the cutest bedding:)

Our busy week of fun and games!

 Chloe and I played hair salon last week:)  She requested all the bows!  Looks like she getting a perm.

 Chloe had fun playing the drums, I think she takes after her daddy on this one:)  After drum time we had fun playing at Kaylee's house.

 Friday night we went to Tyler and Rebecca's so Jason could help move some furniture and then out to eat.  Chloe enjoyed doing some reading, deep stuff!

 We bought a Kindle Fire and Chloe thinks of it as her personal movie and game device. 

 Sunday we turned in our Sleeping Beauty Ballet tickets from Brig, Rich and Andrea.  Thanks so much for the tickets, we had a great time!  Chloe has more ticket stubs already than I had by the age of 20;)

 We met up with our friends at intermission.  Here are Bella, Hannah and Chloe:)  Hannah and Adalyn declined the photo op. 

 Today we had a great time playing at Hannah's house.  Then we baked some brownies.  Chloe especially likes tasting them ahead of time:) 

Out of order but she likes to be goofy for the camera:)  Other regular and fun activities for our week included 3 days of school, gymnastics class, dance class and a visit from Uncle Rich.

 Hannah came over to play on Monday.  The girls enjoyed dress up like usual:)

 Tuesday Chloe had her first hair cut at a salon!  After going with me to Vesta to get some products she said she wanted to drive back tomorrow all by herself and get her haircut!  So I helped make part of that happen:)  She was very serious in the chair and chatty Kathy when it was my turn.

 Tuesday evening after gymnastics class, gramma came to visit.  Chloe has so much fun playing with her and I had a great time enjoying her company as well.  This picture was taken minutes before Chloe passed out for a 4 hour nap missing dance class on Wednesday.

 Thursday we celebrated Jason's birthday by cards, gifts and going out to eat.  Uncle Rich came over for a birthday beer and Chloe captured his picture, say cheese:) 

Friday night Chloe and Jason had a date night!  They enjoyed going to Panera, Chloe's fave restaurant, then bowling where Chloe scored a 70 :) followed up with a little shopping at Target where she picked out a Cy pillow pet:)  I enjoyed a girls night out including dinner, going to see To Kill A Mocking Bird at the Playhouse followed by dessert, where I had the most amazing turtle cheesecake, at Smokey Row. A win-win for everyone!
