Open Gym and Story Time

This morning Chloe wore her beloved Tinkerbell shirt to story time. She has a good time listening to the stories, learning some new signs and singing songs. After story time Chloe always spends the rest of the day singing:)
She played duck, duck, goose with the older kids. She sat when they called her goose and would run when the other goose was running, it was really funny! Chloe made some new friends, sisters Kelsey and Marissa, they both gave Chloe a hug good bye, so sweet.

Tuesday morning we went to Open Gym with the mom's group. Chloe had so much fun! She had so many firsts, played with a parachute, the kind you hold onto, shake up and down, crawl under and bonce balls on top of. Then played a roll the ball game while sitting on the floor and Chloe kept wanting to get up, run after the ball and kick it but she did learn how to play:) She also just had fun running around with the other kids, playing with the colorful balls, calling them all by the correct colors too. Here she is going up and down the stairs to the stage, the stage was a big hit.

Outdoors Please

A little post game, game of our own:)
More rolling around and throwing leaves.

Sunday night we played out side in leaves again because it's just so much fun. Chloe liked to get buried:)
Getting ready to watch the Bears plat to a victory.
Chloe just loves being outside, thank goodness we have a fenced in back yard now! She was helping daddy water the grass/dirt at an attempt to get more grass to grow. We love our huge trees but they block a lot of sun light for the grass beneath them.
We had a great time Saturday evening with Uncle Tyler and Rebecca. They came over and we took some family pictures, more to come on how they turn out. Then a night of food and fun outside! What a fun Saturday evening:)

Sand and Leaves

After the leaves, daddy and Chloe washed mommy's car. Then Chloe took a long, fun bath. This was her dream morning!
Then she would throw her glasses off, bury them and look for them.

Oh yeah, put my sunglasses back on and roll around some more:)
Hmmm, what should I do next???
Rolling around in the pile of leaves. Good thing we have 2 huge trees in the front yard and two even bigger trees in the back yard so there will be no shortage of leaves to play in.

She's about to discover hours of fun!

Saturday morning Chloe and daddy tackled the leaves, and by tackle I mean that daddy racked and Chloe jumped in the piles:)

Friday Chloe had fun playing in her sand box, squishing her toes around for a while too:)

Good Times

Our reflection in the shiny propeller:)
Chloe brought Tinkerbell along for the tour:) They gave out activity books and wooden airplanes at the end too.

This was an old fighter plane used in the Korean war. Chloe is watching a small plane take off in the other direction.

We have had a fun week with activities. Tuesday evening Uncle Rich came over for dinner and Chloe loved playing with him. Then Wednesday we went to story time where we learned sign language for family, mom, dad, brother, sister, baby, grandma and grandpa. That afternoon we went to the Des Moines Art Center. Chloe had fun pointing out the colors in the art work and doing the stairs. Last night we went to Uncle Rich and Aunt Andrea's home to watch Man vs Food because it was in Des Moines. We decided we need to go out to eat at Black Market pizza, yummy. We also want to wish cousin Emily a happy birthday! We hope you had a great day:)
Today we went with our group to tour the Ankeny Airport. Chloe had a lot of fun looking at the air planes and learning all about them. She was a little nervous about sitting in the 2 seater and wouldn't even stay in it long enough for a picture.

Everything is Tinkerbell!

Sunday Chloe got a new Tinkerbell toothbrush and shirt. Needless to say, she LOVES Tinkerbell. It has helped with how long she brushes her teeth for now:) But she also wore the shirt Sunday all day, slept in it and then all day Monday and I could barely get it off tonight.

Today we had some fun meeting up with other moms and kids for breakfast. Chloe made a fast friend, Ethan, who will be three this month. They took their shoes off and ran all around using their imagination, it was really cute.

Center Grove Apple Orchard

A few things that we didn't take pictures of where the child's size corn maze, the adult one was 4 acres and we didn't tackle that one today and the super slide where we all went down together, that was a blast. This was such a fun afternoon, Chloe fell asleep on the ride home and slept for over an hour once we got back, I think she had a great time too:)
Chloe picked out a tiny pumpkin just her size on our way out. We also bought 3 pounds of the best golden crisp apples we have ever tasted.

We all took some jumps on the giant jumping pillow. Chloe was a little nervous so I jumped with her and that took some extra coordination. But it was really fun!

Where daddy and Chloe found the perfect pumpkin to take home.

Then we took a hay ride on the back of a tractor. We got off at the pumpkin patch.

She wanted out about as fast as she got in.

This was the corn pool, it was awesome! But Chloe wasn't so sure about it.

Taking a quick look back at mommy and daddy.

Chloe had fun running through the ivy tunnel.

Daddy and Chloe going to school in an 1800's school house.

Of course Chloe had to get her reading in:)

Daddy and Chloe having a tea party with Alice in Wonderland.

The Old Woman's Shoe.

There were the three little pigs play houses, here is the one made out of straw.

This long horn sheep had 4 horns and it looked a little crazy!

Chloe got an up close look at the sheep. She knew just how to talk to the animals too, saying all the right names and sounds.

We saw the little piggies resting in the sun.

Today we spent the early afternoon at Center Grove Apple Orchard. We all had so much fun because there was way more than just apples!

The rest of the week...

Tonight Chloe and I took a test run at the cup cakes we might be making for her birthday party. They were very delicious, Chloe's fave was the frosting:)
Chloe drinking her yogurt smoothie while watching dada work on the yard.

Jason went to work early and got off early to come home and trim the hedges! The left is the before and the right is the after! It looks amazing and I'm sure our neighbors will approve;)
On Wednesday we had a fun time at story time, Chloe really warmed up this week and was interacting with the other kids, participating in the sign language and singing and dancing to the good bye song. Then we had Uncle Rich and Aunt Andrea over for Rich's birthday dinner, it was a fun night with food and family!
We've been trying to stay inside for at least half of the day lately because Chloe might have allergies, at least she has all the symptoms. So she has found new ways of entertaining herself:) Chloe has also continued to go potty on the potty chair 1-3 times a day, pretty awesome!
