Friends, Friends and More Friends!

Dressing up with Kaylee from our play date last week:)
Chloe and Hannah singing, dancing and of course dressing up:)
After school on Thursday, she had a great day and it was gorgeous out!
Playing outside with her fairy on the trampoline.
Today at the park with Theresa, Fin and Elle.  Chloe just loved baby Elle and wants to play with her all the time.
She had no fear climbing up and going down this steep, tall slide, it made me nervous though.
Chloe and Fin doing the teeter totter on a wonderful afternoon at the park.
Playing pretend, I was served ice cream out of a sandal:)
Chloe and Fin running the bases at the park , they did this at least 5 times!  We were so happy to spend so much time with the Peoples!  We are sad to see you return to Denver but will just have to look forward to seeing you all again in the spring.

Fall brings the start of some good times!

Monday we went to Uncle Rich's and Aunt Andrea's for supper and outdoor fire pit fun.  Chloe found Andrea's boots and was excited to be a cowgirl:)
Chloe insisted on wrapping up in the most comfortable blanket ever for camping:)
Tuesday was the start of Story Time again!  Chloe was so excited to see Ms Kelly again.  She really had a great time at story time, singing, counting, listening, it was fun to see.
Tuesday evening we were so happy to have Theresa, Fin and Elle come over again.  Here are the girls playing together:)
Theresa gave me the great idea to use a scarf for a baby wrap.  Chloe wore her baby all night long, she was such a good mommy.
She looks a little exhausted after taking care of her baby;)
Chloe and Fin are napping with their babies:)
Elle better hurry up and join them!
Trying to get a classic Chloe and Fin picture was a little more difficult this time around, oh well, they are still very cute!
Chloe and Fin drinking their "iced coffee" and it looks like Elle is crashing from hers already;)
She is just so cute and so good!
They played horses and coffee shop for a good portion of the evening.
Today Chloe was so excited for her 1st day of 3yo Preschool.  She was ready and waiting:)
 Smiling and ready to go!
"On second thought I think I want my mommy to stay with me".  Chloe  had a rough time saying good bye this morning.  When I picked her up she ran to me and said that school was so fun!  She made new friends and made some art work that she wanted on the fridge right away.  We were talking about her friends and she was talking about the girls, I asked if she made friends with any boys and she said "No, I just talked to them" :).

So busy with fun this past week!

My first blue berry pie that I have ever baked and it was delicious.  Maybe a C on presentation but an A for taste:)
Last week our wonderful friends from Denver came to visit, Theresa, Fin and we finally got to meet baby Elle.  Their friends Katie and her baby Evelyn came over to play as well.  It was so much fun to see them and hang out all day with them!  And of course Chloe loved the baby girls so much!
Fin and Chloe playing in the pool.  They got along so well and had so much fun playing outside and inside with each other all afternoon long.
Chloe wanted to hold baby Elle all day long:)
Chloe playing under the tent.  The next day she fell asleep and took a nap in the fort.
Saturday we had a great time tailgating with Uncle Rich and Aunt Andrea.
 Caden and Chloe playing football:)
Saturday evening we had our friends, the Petersens, over and the girls played all night.  Here  is Chloe in her reading glasses reading her books.
Sunday Gramma Smith came to visit.  She brought with her a doll for Chloe that she played with all afternoon long.
Chloe is posing with the new Hawkeye and Cyclone flag.  Jason hung his Cyclone flag up and we had to "fix" it ;)
Moved the trampoline outside on this gorgeous day!
 Huggies with Gramma Smith
Saturday morning Daddy and Chloe went to Home Depot for the kids workshop and Chloe got to build a white board, so cool!

Thanks to everyone for your continued support, phone calls, and messages.  We are getting through this and appreciate all of your love!

Thank You.

Chloe starts school next week, it will be 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours a day! She will have one of the same teachers from summer enrichment school and we are all super pumped about that, we love Ms Tracy.
Tuesday night Chloe had Meet the Teacher Night. She wore one of her new outfits from gramma and even brought her backpack. She just couldn't go to school with out bringing her backpack, it didn't make any sense to her not to bring it.
Which quickly led to a bath in the kitchen sink.
Gramma and Chloe cooking a Chinese supper, it was so yummy.
Chloe helping gramma make supper sans clothes!
Chloe loves the fountain at the mall and making wishes/throwing money in the water;)
Chloe and Rambo exhausted after a fun night at Uncle Rich's.

Losing our baby to miscarriage this past week was one of the worst days of my life. But for this blog post I have decided to thank all the amazing, supportive and positive family members and friends that have been here for us during this time. So here are my thank yous and gratitude.
*
My Brother Rich; Thank you so much for taking care of Chloe for those 4 hours when I needed to just be sad and have some alone time with Jason. You brought love and laughter into Chloe's evening and it was so special for her to spend one on one time with you. You are an amazing Uncle.
*
My Sister Brigett; Thank you so much for not only taking care of me during my surgery but also for taking care of Chloe and being there for Jason as well. You put your life on hold to help take care of mine, that's the most giving act of love, thank you. Chloe also thanks you for her new Ariel dress, she doesn't have to wait for her birthday anymore and she couldn't be more excited:) you are an awesome Aunt.
*
Our Friends the Petersen's; Thank you very much for having us over for dinner and letting Chloe forget about the sadness at home and just be a kid and play with her best friends Hannah and Ava.
*
My Mother in Law Janet; Thank you so very much for the beautiful flowers and caring messages. Knowing how much you care means a lot to me. And thank you for all of your support to Jason as well.
*
Our Friends the McSweeney's; Thank you very much for bringing supper over and hanging out with us. The kids filled this home with some much needed laughter and joy again.
*
My Mom; Thank you so much for coming to stay with us for a couple days. You endlessly give of yourself through cooking, cleaning, playing with Chloe, listening to my thoughts, taking us out for meals, getting Chloe a back to school wardrobe, and even retail therapy for me. I will always need you as my mother and you have always been there for me. I can't thank you enough.
*
My Father In Law Tim and My Brothers In Law Todd and Tyler; Thank you all for being there for Jason. I'm sure it's different and difficult as a man to grieve the loss of a baby and having your support means a lot to both of us.
*
Our Friend Judi; Thank you for the delicious zucchini bread. Your thoughtfulness is such a kind gesture and is appreciated.
*
To All Our Friends Near and Far; Thank you for the messages and phone calls. Every little bit helps.
